Kascho reinterprets Michelangelo's David. She uses bright and bold colors to express the powerful and triumphant stance of David, ready to face his opponent Goliath. At the same time, the painting also reflects David's fragile side, which is reflected in his vulnerable facial features. The work aims to encourage the viewer to reflect on the importance of courage, determination, and vulnerability, which are important in both art and life.
The statue is considered one of the most famous works of art of the Renaissance and one of the greatest sculptural masterpieces of all time. Today the statue resides in the Accademia Museum in Florence, Italy.
